Mathew Stocks

Mathew was born in 1767 in Huddersfield and his baptism took place on June 21st, 1767 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).¹

Mathew's father was Benjamin Stocks and his mother was Sarah Cliffe. His paternal grandparents were David Stocks and Sarah Brook. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, Samuel, Job, Ann, Jinny, Sally, Hannah and Bathey. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 2 on June 10th, 1769 in Huddersfield. His burial was on June 10th, 1769 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).¹
