Jinny Stocks

Jinny was born in 1777 in Huddersfield and her baptism took place on December 25th, 1777 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).¹

  Fartown (on provious baptisms) is only two hundred yards from Cowcliffe, where Job was living in 1841, so this must be the correct baptism.

Jinny's father was Benjamin Stocks and her mother was Sarah Cliffe. Her paternal grandparents were David Stocks and Sarah Brook. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Mathew, Benjamin, Samuel, Job, Ann, Sally, Hannah and Bathey. She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
