Margaret was born in July 1846 in Taylor Hill.1  Margaret's father was George Stocks and her mother was Hannah Craven.  Her paternal grandparents were David Stocks and Margaret Goldthorp. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Craven, George, Margaret, Elizabeth, Martha and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 1 in April 1848 in Taylor Hill.  She was buried on May 3rd, 1848 in Almondbury.1 1
