Frank was born in September 1879 in Almondbury.¹

Frank's father was Charles Henry Stocks and his mother was Frances (Fanny) Ann Perry. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stocks and Hannah Batty. He had a brother and six sisters, named Thomas, Emily, Florence, Ethel, Rhoda, Elsie and Dorothy. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 35 on January 1st, 1915 in Huddersfield. His burial was on January 9th, 1915 in Armitage Bridge.
