Thomas Stocks 
Thomas was born in 1825 in Tintwistle.1 Thomas' father was David Stocks and his mother was Margaret Goldthorp. His paternal grandparents were David Stocks and Isabel Lodge. He had two brothers and three sisters, named George, David, Mary, Betty and Ruth. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 56 in October 1881 in Berry Brow. He was buried on October 8th, 1881 in Armitage Bridge.-
