Ann was born in 1815 in Oldham and her baptism took place there on January 8th, 1815.1  Ann's father was Job Stocks and her mother was Mary Whitehead.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Hargreaves. She had two brothers and a sister, named Job, Isaac and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 73 in 1888.

‌Ann and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on September 1st, 1835 at St. Chad (Rochdale).2   They had a son and three daughters, named Joseph, Mary, Jane and Susannah.  There are possibly more children.
