Jane was born on November 5th, 1832 in Childwall and her baptism took place on November 18th, 1832 at St. Patrick (Liverpool).1 2  Jane's father was James Stananought and her mother was Jane Mullock.  Her maternal grandparents were Richard Mullock and Jane Richards. She had two brothers and four sisters, named James, Richard, Thomas, Alice, Mary and Annie.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Accidental poisoning, at the age of 39 in 1871 in Kirkdale.3
