Jane was born on August 15th, 1808 in Cuddington and her baptism took place on August 18th, 1808 in Shocklach.1 2  Jane's father was Richard Mullock and her mother was Jane Richards.  Her maternal grandparents were Richard Richards and Anne Phythian. She had five brothers and a sister, named Richard, George, Thomas, James, Robert and Mary.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 78 on October 1st, 1886 in Lancashire.3

‌Jane and James were married in a religious ceremony on May 31st, 1830 in Lancashire by Curate Cecil Wray and witnessed by Job Higgins & John Stananought.4  They had two sons and five daughters, named James, Richard, Thomas, Jane, Alice, Mary and Annie.  There are no more children.
