Jane was born on August 15th, 1808 in Cuddington and her baptism took place on August 18th, 1808 in Shocklach.¹²

Jane's father was Richard Mullock and her mother was Jane Richards. Her maternal grandparents were Richard Richards and Anne Phythian. She had five brothers and a sister, named Richard, George, Thomas, James, Robert and Mary. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 78 on October 1st, 1886 in Lancashire.³

Death Notes
- Jane Mullock, spinster was buried May 6 1875 at Bunbury, 67 years, so born about 1808 (correct age). This must be another, but there is no other Cheshire baptism. There was a Jane Mullock (52, Wife) on the 1861 census, so perhaps the "spinster" is in error.
  
  Jane was a wealthy woman, probably from an inheritance after the sale of Cuddington Mill. The family was known to be at Cuddington Mill, even though baptised at Scocklach.

  The Will of Jane Stananought late of Aigburth near Liverpool in the county of Lancaster Widow who died 1 October 1886 at Aigburth was proved at Liverpool by Joseph Nicholas Clark of Garston in the said county Stevedore and James Fraser Harrison of 10 Orange-court Castle-street in the City of Liverpool Solicitor the Executors.

  Jane Mullock from Cuddington married James Stananought in 1830. She was 42 in 1851, 52 in 1861, 60 in 1871, 72 in 1881, living in Garston Lancashire.
