11 Sep 1825, Richard, weaver and bachelor may have married Mary Yates at Bury.
In 1841, Richard, labourer, & Mary (40 & 35) were at Hanover Square, East Bolton with John (15), Margaret (10), Ann (8) and Esther (2).
In 1851, Richard and Mary (48 & 45) were at 33 Gas Street with Margaret (20), Ann (18), Esther (11), and Jane (4). Richard was born in "Huddeisea" (probably should be Hoddlesden in Darwen). Jane was dumb. James Horton (30, Wheelwright) was visiting.
Richard may have had a son Thomas, a labourer from Sharples who married Mary Ann Tildsley on 27 Dec 1841
