Peter Smith

Peter was born in June 1828 in Bolton and his baptism took place on June 8th, 1828 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Peter's father was Peter Smith and his mother was Betty Collinge. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Peter, Ann, Margaret, Jemima, Mary and Jenny.

- 8 Jun 1828, Peter was baptised, son of Peter (a shoe maker) and Betty. NOTE: There was another Peter born in 1828, son of John and Margaret Smith, who died aged 2.
  
  In 1841, Peter (12), a rope maker, was living with his three older half-sisters Margaret (20), Jamima (18) and Mary (16) at King's Street (nr. Deansgate), West Bolton.
  
  In 1861, there was a Peter Smith (32), born Bolton, nail maker lodging in Todmorden. Sep 1863, this Peter Smith (34), a nail maker, married Jane Riley (23). His father was John Smith, also a nail maker.
