Isabel's father was Edward Sill and her mother was Alice Cartmell. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Sill and Isabel Atkinson. She had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Alice and Alice. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 83 in 1837 in Preston-Patrick.
