William Roscoe

William was born on October 2nd, 1830 in Ledsham and his baptism took place on September 21st, 1830 in Shotwick.¹²

William's father was Thomas Roscoe and his mother was Frances Williams. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Williams and Ann Millington. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 83 on September 23rd, 1914 in Ontario.³

  In 1861, William (60 but should be 40) is a Tailor and Coal Dealer, born Puddington with wife Mary (45) and daughters Elizabeth (12, born Canada) and Frances Emma (10).
  
  In 1863, George Roscoe, 35, Tailor and a widower married Mary Trantium.
