Mary was born in 1840 in Hawarden.1  Mary's father was Thomas Roscoe and her mother was Frances Williams.  Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Williams and Ann Millington. She had three brothers and a sister, named William, Thomas, John and Elizabeth.  She was the third oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 94 in January 1934 in the Wirral.2

‌Mary and William were married in a religious ceremony on December 15th, 1856 at St. Peter (Liverpool).3   Their marriage was annulled on March 19th, 1864 in Utah (UT).4   There are no children.
