Thomas Riding

Thomas was born on June 22nd, 1788 in Adlington and his baptism took place on July 20th, 1788 in Blackrod.¹

Thomas' father was Thomas Riding and his mother was Jane Walsh. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Hugh, Jonathan, Sarah, Peggy, Catherine, Ellen and Jenny. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 in February 1872 in Newton Heath.²

  Thomas died at Newton (possibly the workhouse) in 1872, aged 84.
