Muriel was born in March 1924 in Chorlton (Lancs).1  Muriel's father was Nathan Shaw Miller and her mother was Louisa Alice Brackenridge.  Her paternal grandparents were James Bradley Miller and Emma (Emly) Aspinall Bolton. She had a brother and two sisters, named George, Emily and Vera.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Herbert, Edward, Elsie and Dora.  She died at the age of 79 on April 8th, 2003 in Western Australia.2

‌Muriel and Lawrence were married in a religious ceremony in 1948 in Stockport.
