Elsie was born in September 1912 in Chorlton (Lancs).¹

Birth Notes

Elsie's father was Nathan Shaw Miller and her mother was Florence Tilston. Her paternal grandparents were James Bradley Miller and Emma (Emly) Aspinall Bolton. She had two brothers and a sister, named Herbert, Edward and Dora. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named George, Muriel, Emily and Vera.
