Richard Bolton

Richard was born in 1810 in Bolton and his christening took place on July 29th, 1810 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Richard's father was Thomas Bolton and his mother was Mary Whitaker. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Abraham, Grace, Maria, Ann, Sarah, Mary and Maria. He was the sixth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 77 in September 1887 in Manchester.²

- WARNING: There is another BOLTON+ASPINALL family from Mellor, Preston. They had a daughter Elizabeth there in 1840, and Andrew Bolton (1842-1850). Since Andrew died there in 1850, it can't be the same family.
  
  In 1841, Richard and Mary (30 & 25) were in East Bolton with Ann and Thomas (4 & 1). Three families were neighbours.
  
  In 1871, Thomas Banks (42) and Richard Bolton (61) were lodgers with Josiah & Ellen Welsby, and his mother Maria.
  
  In 1881, Richard Bolton (70), and Emily Bolton (29) were living with Thomas and Mary Brierley and family.
