John Bolton

John was born in 1808 in Bolton and his christening took place on March 27th, 1808 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

  There is also Ann Bolton, daughter of Thomas and Mary of Harwood baptised 9 March 1808. There are two families here but Ann cant belong since we already have an Ann in 1804.

John's father was Thomas Bolton and his mother was Mary Whitaker. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Richard, Abraham, Grace, Maria, Ann, Sarah, Mary and Maria. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 77 in September 1885 in Bolton. His burial was on July 13th, 1885 at the Heaton Cemetery.³⁴
