Kate was born in 1848 in Leftwich and her baptism took place on December 6th, 1847 in Witton, St Helen.¹

Birth Notes

Kate's father was John Miller and her mother was Phoebe Haddock. Her paternal grandparents were James Miller and Susannah (Susan) Poole; her maternal grandparents were William Haddock and Sarah (Sally) Pickstock. She had five brothers and five sisters, named James, William, John, George, Christopher, Mary, Sarah, Phoebe, Emily and Florence. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.
