Frederick's father was Frederick (Fred) Miller and his mother was Mary (Nellie) Ellen Beard. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Miller and Jane Mather. He had a brother named Alf. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 67 on March 27th, 1994.
