      Also Ann, wife of the above, who died June 19th 1782 aged 91 years.

      Also William, son of Rowland and Ann Mather, died June 15th 1839 aged 74 years.

      Hannah, his wife, died April 6th 1840 aged 79 years.

      In memory of William Mather who died February 12th 1818 aged 29 years.

      When he that way with the waggon went
      We little thought his glass was spent
      But had he kept his plough in hand
      He might have longer till'd the land.

      Also Septimus Mather, who died May 8th 1818 aged 11 years.

      Also John Mather, who died March 9th 1821 aged 19 years.

      Also Joseph, their son, died January 5th 1827 aged 41 years.
William was born in October 1788 in Edensor and his baptism took place there on October 19th, 1788.1 2  William's father was William Mather and his mother was Hannah Crowder.  His paternal grandparents were Roland Mather and Ann Allison. He had six brothers named Rowland, Joseph, Thomas, Samuel, John and Septimus.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 29 on February 12th, 1818 in Edensor.  He was buried on February 15th, 1818 in Edensor.1

‌William and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on January 21st, 1809 in Bakewell.1   They had four sons and a daughter, named Joseph, John, Samuel, George and Hannah.  There are no more children.
