Joseph was born in November 1786 in Edensor and his baptism took place there on November 5th, 1786.¹

Birth Notes

Joseph's father was William Mather and his mother was Hannah Crowder. His paternal grandparents were Roland Mather and Ann Allison. He had six brothers named Rowland, William, Thomas, Samuel, John and Septimus. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 40 on January 5th, 1827 in Edensor.
