      Also William, son of Rowland and Ann Mather, died June 15th 1839 aged 74 years.

      Hannah, his wife, died April 6th 1840 aged 79 years.

      In memory of William Mather who died February 12th 1818 aged 29 years.

      When he that way with the waggon went
      We little thought his glass was spent
      But had he kept his plough in hand
      He might have longer till'd the land.

      Also Septimus Mather, who died May 8th 1818 aged 11 years.

      Also John Mather, who died March 9th 1821 aged 19 years.

      Also Joseph, their son, died January 5th 1827 aged 41 years.
William was born on January 20th, 1704 in Edensor.1  William's father was Roland Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Burrows. He had two sisters named Rachel and Hannah.  He was the oldest of the three known children.  He died at the age of 80 on January 1st, 1785.  He was buried in January 1785 in Edensor.2

‌William and Ann were married.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Roland, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Hellen.
