Thomas was born in January 1792 in Edensor and his baptism took place there on January 22nd, 1792.¹

Birth Notes

Thomas' father was William Mather and his mother was Hannah Crowder. His paternal grandparents were Roland Mather and Ann Allison. He had six brothers named Rowland, Joseph, William, Samuel, John and Septimus. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
