William Mather

William was born about 1777 in Bolton.  William's father was John Mather and his mother was Jane (Jennet) Partington.  His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Meadowcroft. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Isaac, Isaac, Lettice, Catherine, Lettice and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died in April 1778 in Bolton.  He was buried on May 1st, 1778 in Bolton.¹
