Thomas was born in July 1888 in Darwen.¹

Birth Notes

Thomas' father was Amos Mather and his mother was Emma Walsh. His paternal grandparents were Charles Mather and Esther Lomax. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Andrew, Richard, Esther and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at 3 months old in October 1888 in Darwen.²
