Robert was born on October 25th, 1870 in Rumworth and his baptism took place on December 4th, 1870 at St. Mary (Deane).1 2  Robert's father was Edward Hart and his mother was Betty Edge. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Louisa.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Edward, Robert, William, Catherine, Mary and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 90 in January 1961 in Farnworth.3
