Peter was born in August 1807 in Warrington and his baptism took place on August 23rd, 1807 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  Peter's father was William Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Percival. He had a brother and two sisters, named Peter, Mary and Eliza.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Henry, Thomas, William, John, Mary, Ann and Sarah.  He died at the age of 2 in April 1810 in Warrington.  He was buried on April 26th, 1810 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1
