Mary's father was William Mather and her mother was Sarah Kilshaw. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Henry, Thomas, William, John, Ann and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Peter, Peter, Mary and Eliza.  She died at 1 months old in May 1792 in Warrington.  She was buried on May 29th, 1792 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹
