Peggy's father was Abraham Mather and her mother was Alice Gerrard. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Matthew, John, Margaret, Betty and Betty.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 1 in April 1770 in WestLeigh.  She was buried on April 5th, 1770 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).¹
