Mary Jane Mather

Mary was born in January 1870 in Little Bolton.¹

Mary's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Jane Dobson. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Sarah Fielding. She had four brothers and three sisters, named George, Stephen, Joseph, Thomas, Mary, Agnes and Sarah. She was the seventh oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 52 in October 1922 in Bury.²
