Mary's father was John Mather and her mother was Alice Mather.  Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Pendlebury. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Peter, Richard, Samuel, Martha and Alice.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 1 on October 16th, 1802 in Radcliffe.  She was buried in October 1802 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).^2 3
