Martha's father was John Mather and her mother was Alice Mather.  Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Pendlebury. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Peter, Richard, Samuel, Mary and Alice.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at 11 months old on March 29th, 1795 in Radcliffe.  She was buried on March 31st, 1795 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).^1 2
