Martha Ann Mather

Martha was born in June 1866 in Little Hulton and her baptism took place on July 22nd, 1866 at St. Mary (Ellenbrook).¹²

Martha's father was Edwin Mather and her mother was Sarah Stones. Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Martha Tyldesley. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Edwin, Samuel, Charles, Mary, Florence and Lillian. She was the second oldest of the eight children.
