Katherin Mather

Katherin was born about 1733 in Turton. Katherin's father was Peter Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Cranshaw. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Greenhalgh. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Jeremiah, John, Abraham, Peter, Margaret, Alice and Ann. She died in 1735 in Turton. She was buried on April 14th, 1735 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²
