Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in 1830 in Little Hulton and his baptism took place there on September 30th, 1832.¹²

Joseph's father was Robert Mather and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Hardman. His paternal grandparents were Ellis (Elias) Mather and Alice Eccles. He had three brothers and a sister, named William, Hugh, Henry and Ann. He was the youngest of the five children.
