Henry Mather

Henry was born in 1827 in Little Hulton.¹

  After he married (at Full Age), Henry took 2 years of his age.

Henry's father was Robert Mather and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Hardman. His paternal grandparents were Ellis (Elias) Mather and Alice Eccles. He had three brothers and a sister, named William, Hugh, Joseph and Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 68 in April 1895 in Farnworth. His burial was on May 1st, 1895 in Farnworth.²

- In 1841, Robert was 14. From then on, he added 2 years to his age
  
  5 Sep 1847 Henry, a potter, son of Robert a labourer married Margaret Wolfendale, daughter of Thomas.
  
  In 1851, Henry and Margaret (23 & 24) were living with Henry's parents Robert and Betty at Farnworth.
  
  In 1861, Henry and Margaret (32 & 34) were in Kearsley with Thomas, Jane and Betsy. (They had no more children in 1871)
  
  In 1866, Henry, a Potter of 140 Peel Street, Farnworth and Joseph (sons) were executors of their father's Will and Probate.
  
  In 1871, The family were at 140 Peel Street, Farnworth.
  
  In Q1 1871, there was a Martha Mather born, registered at Western Bolton with MMN = WOLFE. This is likely another family (as wrong Bolton district and no Farnworth death registered)
