James Mather

James' father was John Mather and his mother was Ellen Mort.  His paternal grandparents were <unknown> and Jane Mather; his maternal grandparents were John Mort and Ann Mort. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Mary.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edward, James, Mary and Eliza.  He died before 1861.
