Hilda was born on July 19th, 1893 in Eagley and her baptism took place on October 1st, 1893 at St. Paul's (Astley Bridge).¹

Birth Notes

Hilda's father was Harold Mather and her mother was Margaret Ada Cooper. Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Alice Cooper. She had three sisters named Constance, Alice and Margaret. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 95 in February 1989 in Buckinghamshire.²
