Henry Mather

Henry was born in March 1863 in Turton.¹

Henry's father was Charles Mather and his mother was Betty Crompton. His paternal grandparents were Edward Mather and Ann Brambley. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Charles, Rachel, Mary and Hannah. He was the second oldest of the seven children.

  1 Aug 1886, Henry Mather (23) a minder of Watling Street, son of Charles a Fire-Beater married Clara Roberts (23), daughter of John Roberts a Sailor (maybe should be Tailor).
  
  In 1891, Henry and Clara (both 28) were with Eva J and Charles. They went on to have 6 more children (8 in total), all born in Little Bolton.
