Henry Mather

Henry was born in 1834 in Pendleton and his baptism took place on March 9th, 1834 at Manchester Cathedral.¹²

Henry's father was Henry Mather and his mother was Mary Howarth. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Robert, Richard, William, George, Sarah and Betsy. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.

- 2 Feb 1857, Henry Mather (21), a moulder of 51 Cross Lane, Salford, son of Henry Mather a dyer married Martha Garey (19) at Manchester Parish Church.
  
  In 1861 Henry and Martha (25 & 22) were at Regent Road, Salford with Sarah and William (3 & 2), and also Henry's brother William Mather (20)
