Helen's father was Robert Francis Mather and her mother was Eula Alethia Grimes. Her paternal grandparents were William Gibson Mather and Mary (Fannie) Frances McCauley. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Grimes, Rachel, Hollis and Eula. She was the second oldest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Earl, Ellwood and Margaret. She died at the age of 91 on April 22nd, 2006 in Marland.¹
