Hardy Mather

Hardy was born on March 25th, 1796 in Bury and his baptism took place on March 12th, 1797 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

Hardy's father was Richard Mather and his mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Barlow. His paternal grandparents were William Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Ingram. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, John, William, Rachel, Ellen, Sally and Martha. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 53 in September 1849 in Prestwich. His burial was on September 27th, 1849 in Prestwich.²
