Hannah, known as Ann, was born in February 1861 in Manchester.¹

Birth Notes

Ann's father was William Mather and her mother was Betsy Kay. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Tyldsley. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Edward, William, James, Sarah, Alice, Elizabeth and Hannah. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died before 1871 in Manchester.
