Hannah Mather

Hannah was born in 1755 in Tyldesley and her baptism took place on May 19th, 1755 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).¹

Hannah's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Anna Garnet. Her maternal grandparents were Isaac Garnet and Mrs Isaac Garnet. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Alice, Martha, Mary, Elizabeth and Dinah. She was the sixth oldest of the eight children.
