In 1696, the first Inn in the township of Shakerley was "Mather's Inn". The innkeeper was William Mather. Perhaps this William was Ralph's father.
Ralph and Anna were married in a religious ceremony on November 16th, 1746 at St. Mary (Deane).1 They had two sons and six daughters, named John, William, Alice, Martha, Mary, Elizabeth, Hannah and Dinah. There are no more children.
