Florence was born in December 1887 in Bolton.1  Florence's father was William Mather (Bibby) and her mother was Mary Ann Young.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Harriet Bibby. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named John, William, Emma, Harriet, Sarah, Ada, Alice, Nellie and Bertha.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at 6 months old in June 1888 in Bolton.2
