Elizabeth Mather

Elizabeth was born in January 1839 in Hindley.¹

Elizabeth's father was William Mather and her mother was Martha Barlow. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Thomas, William, John, Mary, Sarah and Jane. She was the seventh oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 50 on August 18th, 1889 in Wigan.²

  In 1871, Elizabeth Mather married Frederick Jolley (1839-1919), and the had three children. They are all buried together (with headstone) at Wigan.
  
  Elizabeth Jolley died 18 Aug 1889 aged 49 at Wigan
  Frederick Jolley died 11 Mar 1919 aged 80 at Wigan
