Edith was born on January 17th, 1917. Edith's father was John William Mather and her mother was Mary Ellen Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Cowley Mather and Elizabeth Cooper. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Clarence, Lawrence, Richard, Myrtle, Jennie, Jessie and Dorothy. She died at the age of 52 on December 3rd, 1969.
