Charles Mather

Charles was born in October 1836 in Bolton and his baptism took place on October 16th, 1836 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Charles' father was Samuel Mather and his mother was Betsey Green.  His paternal grandparents were Matthias Mather and Mary Priestley. He had five brothers and a sister, named Matthias, Joseph, Thomas, Samuel, William and Mary.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 23 in March 1860 in Pilkington.²
